article imageChatting with Taylor Carson at The Paramount Special

By Markos Papadatos     Dec 31, 2016 in Music
Huntington - Singer-songwriter Taylor Carson sat down and chatted with me prior to his show at The Paramount, where he opened for O.A.R.
On performing at The Paramount in Huntington, he said, "This place is gorgeous. I love the Christmas vibe with the lights and everything. It is very comfortable."
When asked about his plans for 2017, Carson said, "To keep on promoting my new record, Go Amaze. To keep on touring, and I will keep on doing more writing. Also, to continue to be a dad and a husband, most importantly."
Growing up, he was inspired musically by such esteemed artists as Paul Simon and Cat Stevens. "I like guys with good voices, telling stories, and I'm a sucker for an acoustic guitar," he said.
He listed songstresses Brandi Carlile and Alison Krauss as his dream female duet choices in the music business. Carson has been fortunate to be living the dream. "Touring with O.A.R. is the dream. I've always wanted to play nice rooms, for nice people with nice fans, and this is exactly what that is," he concluded.
Go Amaze is available on iTunes. To learn more about singer-songwriter Taylor Carson, check out his official website.
