Catching up with Phil Collen: Def Leppard 2017 tour, Delta Deep (Includes interview)

Their North American headlining tour kicks off next month, and it will include a tour stop at Nassau Coliseum in New York on April 15. “We actually rehearsed for a couple of days, and then we take off. We are hitting a lot of places that we didn’t go to before,” Collen said. “We haven’t played Nassau Coliseum in years. That should be fun. It is great to play an indoor show in the New York area. We’ve been playing Jones Beach for years.”

Collen is finishing up producing the new Tesla album. “We are pretty much done, but we have the lead vocals on two songs to do,” he said. “We are like a factory. It is pretty amazing actually. It’s pretty cool and very exciting. The album is amazing.”

The acclaimed rocker duets with actress and singer Taryn Manning on “Pour Some Sugar on Me” for Comedy Jam on Comedy Central, which will air on April 19. “That was killer and a lot of fun actually. She was really cool as well,” she said.
