On taking on the role of host for the event in downtown White Plains, Ortega said, “I emceed and DJed. It felt great. 25,000 people showed up. It was a lot of fun and it was great to see that many hands up in the air. It was great to get that introduction. We did our Larger Than Life show with a live band. We had a blast.”
On January 13, Larger Than Life shared the stage with 90’s band Plunge. “It’s great. When we started at Mulcahy’s, they were the first band we played with. Just to see them back is great. They are very energetic, and we like energy. It’s going to be a fun night all around,” he said.
His plans for 2017 are to go on a national tour, as well as the forthcoming release of their documentary. “We are in talks with Amazon, to try to do some sort of distribution. We hope that this will blow up, and it will raise awareness about our show and about us,” he said. “We are also doing some film festivals.”
Regarding his New Year’s resolutions, Ortega shared, “I have not kept my New Year’s resolution. I’m trying to spend a little more time relaxing. I am trying.”
