Catching up with Andrew Rayel at ‘Electric Zoo: Wild Island’ (Includes interview)

Rayel is performing on the main stage for Electric Zoo: Wild Island at Randall’s Island Park in New York. “It’s absolutely amazing. It’s my first time playing Electric Zoo, so I’m waiting to see what Electric Zoo can offer, and what I can offer it. I’m going to be playing some exclusive music, since I’m working on my album,” Rayel said.

He shared his excitement for this year’s DJ Magazine Top 100 DJs poll voting. “It obviously means a lot for us, and while it may not be 100 percent accurate, it still gives us a brief view of what is happening in the dance music scene. I always hope that I will be at least higher than I was the previous year,” Rayel said.

His plans for the future are to finish his new full-length album. “It will be released hopefully in the beginning of next year,” Rayel hinted.

Each day, Rayel is motivated by the fans that come to his shows, as well as the listeners on his “Find Your Harmony” radio show. “We reached episode No. 53, and we are doing the episodes on Facebook Live, so I see a lot of people tuning in and commenting that they really like the show. That’s one of the things that keeps me going. I am very thankful for that,” Rayel said, graciously. “My fans are one in a million, and hopefully, I will be able to come to each city, and each place, and give them a solo show and individual Andrew Rayel performance.”

Digital Journal reviewed Andrew Rayel’s exceptional set at this year’s Electric Zoo.
