Catching up with Amy Connerley: All-girl group Sugar & Spice (Includes interview)

Sugar & Spice performed with the boy band tribute act Larger Than Life at Mulcahy’s. “It feels amazing,” she exclaimed. “I’m so excited to be back. Performing with the boys is always fun, and to perform with my two new friends that are here with me.”

She continued, “It is going to be such a fun night. You can expect to hear all the 90’s favorites by the biggest girl bands.”

Their set included songs by The Spice Girls, Destiny’s Child, and TLC, among others. She is drawn to 90’s music due to its nostalgia. “It reminds me of my childhood,” she said.

Connerley listed the Backstreet Boys are her dream male collaboration partners in music. “They are my boys,” she admitted. “I was a Backstreet Boy girl for sure.”

She had nothing but the greatest remarks about working with choreographers John Wagner and Matthew Argenti, and praised both of them for their hard work ethic. “Working with John Wagner is a treat. He is always going, and he is always able. I just love him,” she said. “Matt Argenti is a wonderful choreographer and director, who has been helping us every step of the way,” she added.

“Come out and see the show,” she concluded for the fans. “It’s going to be so much fun, and follows us on our social media. It is going to be a dream.”
