Canaan Smith signs with music publishing house Tree Vibez Music

Smith has just signed as the firm’s newest songwriter on staff. He celebrated this announcement at the Nashville headquarters of ASCAP (The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers), with Tree Vibez Music founders Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley of the hit country duo Florida Georgia Line. The mission of this publishing house is to develop and foster artistic creativity, individuality, hard work and good vibes.

“I am right where I need to be,” Canaan Smith said, about his newest songwriting home. Smith subsequently added that he has never felt more inspired to write and make great music.

Tyler Hubbard from Florida Georgia Line expressed his excitement to be teaming up with Canaan Smith, whom he described as an “amazing artist,” and one of his “best friends.” “This is a full circle dream come true for all of us and the journey is just beginning,’ Hubbard said.

As a recording artist, Smith co-wrote his chart-topping single “Love You Like That,” which was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). As a songwriter, Smith penned the Top 10 hit “Runaway” by Love and Theft, and he has co-written songs that were cut by such acclaimed musical acts as Jason Aldean, Cole Swindell, Florida Georgia Line and rising star Mason Ramsey.

On June 10, Canaan Smith will be a part of the 2018 CMA Music Fest in Nashville, where he will be performing at the Chevy Riverfront Stage.
