As Digital Journal previously reported, this marks Bon Jovi’s second career nomination for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, where they were previously nominated in 2011.
This year, in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s fan ballot, Bon Jovi received the most votes (out of all 19 nominated artists), with well over 1.1 million fans.
Bon Jovi extended their gratitude to their fans via a post on their social networks. “Thanks for inducting us into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame,” Jon Bon Jovi said. “We will see you guys in Cleveland. Thanks for all the memories, and all the history we continue to make together.”
On April 13, 2017, Bon Jovi performed at Madison Square Garden, which is affectionately known as the “World’s Most Famous Arena,” in New York City, as part of their headlining “This House Is Not for Sale” tour. That rock concert garnered a rave review from Digital Journal.
