Billy Gilman talks Facebook live show, and encourages creativity (Includes interview)

He was the runner up on the eleventh season of NBC’s The Voice, as part of Team Adam Levine (of Maroon 5). Gilman will be livestreaming his performance tomorrow on Friday, March 27 at 7 p.m. EST. “It is going to be fun actually. It’s going to be very different. I won’t have an audience. I feel like being on a television show,” he said.

“I am excited to do this live Facebook event tomorrow. I am going back and forth on what songs to sing. I will do a Q&A with the fans and I will fill them in on the concerts that got postponed,” he said. “I am clearing the mud that the Coronavirus has bestowed on all of us in the entertainment business.”

Speaking of COVID-19, he noted that this virus is hitting all of us and that nobody is at an advantage. “The Coronavirus doesn’t discriminate. All of us are essentially one big voice and all we need to become a voice and take note of what we are supposed to be doing. We need to take a stance against this illness. If we don’t take it seriously, it will continue to get worse. Hunker down and be safe,” he said.

He encouraged his fans to continue to find an outlet to be creative. “Write a song, write a poem, paint a picture, and watch your favorite movies,” he said.

Gilman recently released “Soldier,” a song that he hopes people will find inspiration in during this troubling time. “Every so often a great song falls in your lap. I am a firm believer that I was placed on earth to be a messenger. To sing songs that help someone,” he said.
