Wantagh - Big Shot front-man Mike DelGuidice chatted with me about his Black Friday concert at Mulcahy's Pub and Concert Hall on November 25.
"I love Black Friday. It's the most exciting show of the year. Always a ton of people here. A lot of aunts, uncles, grandfathers, grandmothers and everybody. The whole generation," he said.
This Thanksgiving holiday, DelGuidice is thankful for "the health of his family." "Healthy means happy. As long as the kids are healthy, that's all that matters," he said.
Tonight, DelGuidice has the horns section in his band, which go back from his days in his Chicago tribute band. He shared that they would perform such hits as "Easy Money" and Billy Joel's' "Tell Her About It." "It's going to be a fun night. We are going to go crazy," he said.
During one of the latest television episodes of Kevin Can Wait, which stars Kevin James, DelGuidice's version of "Nessun Dorma" was featured, where the cop in that scene lip-synched along to his soaring rendition. "That was a great episode. It was a lot of fun," he said.
On November 30 and December 17, DelGuidice will be performing in Billy Joel's band at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan, as part of Joel's last two shows of 2016. "Those will be special nights," he admitted.
