Buckley starred as Grizabella in the original Broadway production of the musical Cats, for which she won the Tony Award for “Best Featured Actress in a Musical” in 1983. She is known for her stellar rendition of “Memory,” among other classic hits.
On September 22, Buckley will also be in New York City, where she will be playing two shows at Joe’s Pub.
Buckley has been hailed as “The Voice of Broadway,” and she is one of Broadway’s most respected leading ladies. She has performed concerts and theatrical performances in venues all over the world. In 2012, she was inducted into the prestigious American Theater Hall of Fame,
She has recorded 16 albums, including her newest, Ghostlight, which was produced by T Bone Burnett released in 2014. Buckley has just completed filming the new M. Night Shyamalan-directed film, Split, which co-stars Golden Globe nominated actor James McAvoy. The film is set for release in January of 2017.
