Buller was nominated in three categories at the International Bluegrass Music Association awards, and she took home two trophies for “Fiddle Player of the Year,” as well as the coveted award for “Female Vocalist of the Year.”
Up until last week, Buller was the sole nominee in that category who had yet to win “Female Vocalist,” and her time finally came. She was nominated in great company, which included songstresses Amanda Smith, Dale Ann Bradley, Claire Lynch and Rhonda Vincent.
In the previous year, Buller was nominated for seven awards as Digital Journal reported. In 2015, she was named “Emerging Artist of the Year” and “Songwriter of the Year.” Her song “Southern Flavor” was also named “Recorded Event of the Year.”
