Amber Ferrari discusses Suffolk Theater ‘Joplin’s Pearl’ show (Includes interview)

On her forthcoming Janis Joplin tribute concert at Suffolk Theater, Ferrari said, “I am excited. It’s our first time performing there, and it’s my first all Janis Joplin show since 2007. It’s been 10 years since I’ve done an all Janis show. I have a 10-piece band, which includes a four-piece horn section. We added a bunch of new tunes. It will take the fans on a trip down memory lane to Woodstock.”

This year, Ferrari won “Best Singer” and “Best Band- Noncover” in the “Best of Long Island” competition for the fourth consecutive time. “I was so honored and thankful. Everybody is talented in their own way, and it has to do with your fans and friends voting for you every day. They have been doing that for me for four years in a row in two categories. I put 1000 percent in all my shows, and I want the fans to have a great time at every show,” she said.

Regarding her plans for the future, Ferrari said, “I’m working on some original music this year. We want to do a music video for one of our ballads this year.”
