Alan Walker talks ‘Alone Pt. II,’ influences, dream collabs, fans (Includes interview)

Walker recently collaborated with Ava Max on his new track “Alone Pt. II.” “I got the topline sent through and loved it instantly, then the production was added. Ava Max really killed her vocals on this track, and I am happy about having her on board,” he said.

On his plans for 2020, he said, “Releasing new music and playing it live for my fans (Walkers), all around the world.”

Regarding his music and songwriting influences, he said, “I get really inspired by the Internet and checking out remixes/tutorials on YouTube. There is so much I still want to learn and bring into my music productions and songs.”

On being a recording artist in the digital age, he said, “It feels great. I am one of those artists who broke through because of the digital age and the Internet, so I am forever grateful for the opportunities it has brought me.”

Regarding the title of the current chapter of his life, he said, “I am not gonna make it Alone,” which is a reference to the lyrics from “Alone, Pt. II.”

When asked if there were any moments that helped define him as an artist and as an individual, he said, “All the years behind me, growing up on the road, has really made me who I am today.” “I am definitely more comfortable and confident about myself than I was just a couple of years ago. I am a not so shy Norwegian boy anymore,” he explained.

The 22-year-old Norwegian DJ and record producer listed his friends Tiësto and Kygo as two artists that he would love to someday do a dream collaboration with.

Walker defined the word success as “being happy with where I am.”

For his fans, he concluded about “Alone Pt. II,” “I really hope you like the track and are excited for the next to come. Thank you to everyone who is supporting me. I am forever grateful.”
