This tour stop will be in support of her her new studio album, Mental Illness, which was released via her own label, SuperEgo Records; moreover, the record garnered critical acclaimed from such media outlets as The New York Times, NPR Music, Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune and The Washington Post, among others.
Mental Illness was arranged by her longtime producer, Paul Bryan. On this 11-track album, the Oscar-nominated and Grammy-winning musician enlisted such players as singer-songwriter Jonathan Coulton on acoustic guitar and background vocals, Jay Bellerose on drums, Jamie Edwards on piano, John Roderick as a co-writer and Ted Leo (who recently joined her in a joint side project, The Both) as a background singer.
