Adam Lambert to serve as judge on ‘The X Factor Australia’

Lambert will be sharing the judging panel with Guy Sebastian, who is returning for his fifth season as judge. Sebastian was the first winner of Australian Idol back in 2003, who is known for his song “Angels Brought Me Here.” Aussie rapper Iggy Azalea will serve as the sole female judge on this panel.

Ironically enough, Lambert was the runner-up winner of the eighth season of American Idol, and thanks to the success of “Whataya Want from Me,” he garnered a Grammy nomination for “Best Male Pop Vocal Performance.”

He is no stranger to judging panels. Lambert served as a mentor for American Idol for two seasons (Seasons 9 and 13), and he was a guest judge for Project Runway, RuPaul’s Drag Race and during the 14th season of American Idol, where he filled in for Keith Urban.

With his experience as a performer on Broadway and as a front-man for Queen (along with Brian May and Roger Taylor), Lambert is more than qualified to be a judge on The X Factor Australia.

Most recently, Lambert covered George Michael’s signature song “Faith” on the ABC television show “Greatest Hits.”
