Nashville - On October 10, 2018, the Dottie West Birthday Jam will be held at 3rd &Lindsley in Nashville. It will be hosted by "Miss Country Soul" Jeannie Seely.
This event will celebrate the birthday of the late country pioneer Dottie West, as well as her induction into the coveted Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. She would have been 86 years old.
West was inducted in the "Veterans Era" category, along with Grammy-winning singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Ricky Skaggs, and the late fiddle player Johnny Gimble. She was the first woman to ever win the Grammy award for "Best Female Country Vocal Performance," for "Here Comes My Baby," a song that West co-wrote.
In addition, this year's event will benefit the Nashville Musicians Emergency Relief Fund.
