The legendary southern rock group Marshall Tucker Band's logo has been praised as an iconic artist brand, according to a recent edition of Grammy Magazine.
They are honored along with AC/DC, The Beatles, Kiss, The Rolling Stones, Public Enemy, Anthrax, The Wu-Tang Clan, Deadmau5 and Prince. As indicated in the recent edition of Grammy Magazine, these brands and logos "need no introduction."
Particularly impressive about their logo is that it has represented their group since their original formation in 1971.
"Our logo has been with us since day one," said Marshall Tucker Band lead singer Doug Gray. "We're honored that our brand was chosen along with many other iconic figures in music."
Throughout their career in music, which spans 42 years, The Marshall Tucker Band has sold over 15 million albums to date. The iconic southern rock group was founded in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Their music has been featured in many major films and television series including Blow, The Box, Swing Vote, Half Nelson, Breaking Bad, My Name Is Earl, among others.
Country Music Television (CMT) honored their signature song "Can't You See" as the fourth greatest "Southern Rock Song" of all-time. Their self-titled debut album is at No. 5 on Gibson Guitar's "Greatest Southern Rock Albums" list, and Ultimate Classic Rock's official website voted "Can't You See" as the No. 1 greatest southern rock song ever recorded.
