By Markos Papadatos     Jan 13, 2014 in Entertainment
Jared Leto was honored yesterday at the Golden Globe awards for his performance in the film "Dallas Buyer's Club" for playing Rayon.
In his Golden Globe acceptance speech, he remarked, "Wow. I would like to use this opportunity to clear up a few things. I did not ever use any prosthetics in this film."
He noted that it was a very "transformative role," and he had to do a lot of things to prepare for it. One of those things included Leto waxing his entire body, including his eyebrows.
Leto continued, "This is incredible. I didn't make a film for almost six years. I was pursuing other dreams and it is more than an honor to come back and have this love and this support. I never expected it and I never even dreamed of it."
He concluded his speech as follows, "And to the Rayons in the world, thanks for the inspiration. I love you."
In addition to acting, Leto is also the lead singer of the rock band, Thirty Seconds to Mars.
