Country music DJ, remixer and producer Dee Jay Silver opened up about being a part of country star Brad Paisley's "Beat This Winter" tour.
He is the first country DJ to be signed to a major record label, RCA Nashville.
Paisley's tour kicked off on January 10 at the Eastern Kentucky Exposition Center in Pikeville, Kentucky. "It rocked," he said. "I bring Brad on the stage and I do four songs with him. I do the encore with him. I also play between sets for 5 to 10 minutes."
Silver is sharing the stage with such country singers as Danielle Bradbery (former winner of "The Voice"), as well as country singer Chris Young. "Those are great people," he admitted. "Danielle is such a sweet girl. She is so young and so talented. She is one of the nicest people out there. Chris Young is a long-time friend of mine and his new album is amazing."
On February 13, Silver will be playing with Paisley, Young and Bradbery at the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, New York, which is home to the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League (NHL). "I am excited about that show. We have a whole East Coast run that week," he said. "We did a lot of stadiums last year and I am a huge hockey fan, so I cannot wait to be there."
Silver shared that he has a "few surprises in the works" for the Nassau Coliseum show, which ought to be exciting.
His Country Club EP has been well-received by country fans and he has appeared on such television shows as Fox News Channel's "Fox & Friends" and he performed at the fourth annual American Country Awards. "Things are going great," he said.
Silver listed his remix of Jake Owen's "Barefoot Blue Jean Night" as his personal favorite track on his EP.
