Hit country duo Florida Georgia Line were in for a real surprise when they turned on Country Music Television (CMT) this weekend.
Florida Georgia Line is made up of Tyler Hubbard (from Georgia) and Brian Kelley (from Florida).
Their music video for their latest single "Stay" peaked at No. 1 on CMT.
"Dang!! Turned on CMT and 'Stay' is No. 1 that's crazy! Thanks y'all for all the support!" the duo exclaimed via a post on their official Facebook page.
Prior to that, their single "Stay" spent four weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Airplay charts, making it the first country single to top those charts in 2014.
As Digital Journal previously reported, during the week of January 18, Florida Georgia Line topped the Billboard country album charts as well as the singles charts.
The song "Stay" was co-written by their producer, Joey Moi, as well as the members of the rock band Black Stone Cherry.
