The video advertisement was released by John Lewis, a British department store. It shows Buster the Boxer dog jumping on a trampoline before his owner gets the chance to try it out. The commercial features the tagline “gifts that everyone will love.”

The two-minute clip starts off by telling the story of a girl who enjoys bouncing. After the girl goes to bed, the video shows her dad setting up a trampoline to surprise her on Christmas morning.
However, Buster watches wildlife using the trampoline. When the girl wakes up and runs into the garden so she can try it out, Buster cuts her off and starts jumping on it.
The dog’s real name is Biff and his owner is Jan Patten. Patten, who lives with partner Mick Howe, has two other boxers and she works as a dog trainer. She said she was amazed at Biff’s instant stardom.
The ad, which was shot entirely on set, not only features the dog, but it also features bouncing foxes and a badger. It cost around $1.2 million to make. John Lewis plans on selling plush toy versions of the animals too, as well as the trampoline, animal-themed kids’ books and pajamas. A portion of the sales will be given to Wildlife Trust charities.
