The Bay bested competition from such hit digital drama series as Studio City (Amazon Prime), After Forever (Amazon Prime), Dark/Web (Amazon Prime), and Eastsiders (Netflix). Executive producers Gregori J. Martin and Kristos Andrews (who also stars in The Bay as lead actor Pete Garrett) accepted the award virtually on the show’s behalf.
“We are eternally grateful and humbled by this win. On behalf of #TheBayFamily thank you @DaytimeEmmys and this year’s judges for the win. It takes an army and we love our army. Congrats to all of this year’s winners and all the amazing nominees #BingeTheBay,” they exclaimed via a tweet.
