article imageReview: Steve Burton, Bradford Anderson perform at Governor's Comedy Club Special

Levittown - On May 24, Emmy award-winning actor Steve Burton (Jason Morgan on "General Hospital") and Emmy-nominated actor Bradford Anderson (Damian Spinelli on "General Hospital") performed at Governor's Comedy Club in Levittown on Long Island.
"Thank you for coming to Governor's to see us," Burton said, graciously. "Thank you for coming early,' he added.
Anderson kicked off their set by singing two funny songs, which included a parody of Right Said Fred's "I'm Too Sexy." "I'm too sexy for Long Island," he said, paraphrasing the lyrics to make it more relevant to their Long Island fan-base.
"Yes, we are here on Long Island," Burton admitted. "Happy Thursday," Anderson added.
Burton shared that this August will be one year of his character's return on General Hospital, which he re-emerged as "Patient 6." He noted that he is nothing like his character, Jason Morgan, in real life, since he "talks, laughs and has fun."
The improvisational scenes between Burton and Anderson were clever and fun to watch, especially when Anderson made Burton pose with his famous "look" (long facial pause) from the show, where he tried to go into his mind and express what Burton was feeling during that particular "look." Anderson subsequently noted that there is "more to this look than meets the eye."
In addition, the question and answer session with the audience kept their show fresh and spontaneous, since it allowed them to be creative with their answers.
When asked to reflect on the past 12 years about his character on the popular daytime drama, Anderson told this journalist, "I see a lot of unrequited love. I see a lot of cool fantasies, and the one thing I loved about being Spinelli back in the day is that it meant that as an actor, I got to do so many different things. Every time he had a fantasy, he did some cool things such as being Australian for a day. Spinelli had such an amazing imagination, and they showed his imagination on screen, and that was really fun. Also, I got to kiss a lot of blondes."
Both actors expressed their sincere gratitude to their dedicated fans and viewers of General Hospital. "We love the fans of the show. We appreciate them," Burton said.
The Verdict
Overall, Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson were witty and entertaining to watch at Governor's Comedy Club in Levittown, New York. Their show was a blend of comedy, music, as well as their personal insights and behind the scenes stories of their characters on General Hospital. They are worth seeing live whenever they come to town. Their "Stone Cold and Jackal" show at Levittown garnered an A rating.
