This intense competition is hosted by former NFL player Akbar Gbaja-Biamila, actor and comedian Matt Iseman and sports reporter Kristine Leahy. The qualifying round in Daytona, Florida, was televised on June 26.
Stewart was able to successfully complete the difficult obstacle course (comprised of Floating Steps, Rolling Pin, Wingnuts, Broken Bridge, the every-challenging Rolling Thunder and the Warped Wall), where he made it to the semi-finals.
In the past, the Alabama firefighter had competed in the three prior seasons of the show, where he made it to the finals in Season 7.
Most impressive about Stewart is that he runs a Pec-Flexin’ Bootcamp, and ironically enough, after he won the qualifying round in Daytona, he celebrated by flexing his pecs, which resonated well with the hosts and audience.
Stewart works in Hueytown, Alabama, as a firefighter for the past decade, and he lives in that town with his wife, Natalie, and their two boys.
