Op-Ed: Beethoven’s Promethean Concerto — Best theatrical play of August

The production, Beethoven’s Promethean Concerto in C Minor WoO, took place at the BACCA Arts Center in Lindenhurst, New York. It was divided into two acts, and it was well-written from start to finish. It truly belongs in a bigger stage/platform, and to be performed in front of a much larger audience. It is highly recommended for any fans of musical theater and of the maestro Ludwig van Beethoven himself. They will not be disappointed, especially since the play incorporates original music from the classic German composer, thus making it more authentic and compelling.

Lead actor Michael Brinzer, who played Beethoven, and the ensemble cast of actors and musicians were superb. It sheds new light into the motion picture Immortal Beloved, and allows the viewer to be skeptical (of the facts in that film), and see things more clearly from a different perspective, Josephine’s (played eloquently by Sansone-Braff).
