New York - Comedic queen Margaret Cho has announced her new "Fresh Off the Bloat" tour, which will include two performances at the Gramercy Theatre.
Throughout her career, she has earned five Grammy nominations and a Primetime Emmy nomination. She was named as one of Rolling Stone's "50 Best Stand-up Comics of All-Time."
Cho has described "Fresh Off The Bloat" as her sickest show to date. In fact, her own grandmother called her "bloated," as is she had "been found dead in a lake after several days searching." In her new show, Cho talks about being clean from drugs and drinking, as well as suicide and "coming back to life."
Her new TV project Highland has been picked up for a pilot episode by the television network, TNT. The show chronicles what happens when two extended, dysfunctional Korean-American families (who share the same patriarch) come together after tragedy strikes.
On October 12, Cho will be performing two shows at Gramercy Theatre in the heart of New York City. To learn more about Margaret Cho's touring schedule, check out her official homepage.
Digital Journal chatted with Margaret Cho last Christmas about her Grammy nomination.
