On his new film Cross Wars, he said, “It is the sequel to Cross which we filmed six years ago. I’ve been a huge fan of Super Heroes since I was a little kid. So of course, I’ve always wanted to do a super hero film.”
He continued, “Our Cross films have a ton of campy action so I’m lucky enough to have extremely talented second unit directors. 2017 should be a fun year. We hope to shoot Cross 3, which will be slam-packed with stars like the first Cross film. We will of course shoot here in Los Angeles. I might even shoot a horror film in 2017. I produced horror films in the beginning of my career so it’s familiar territory.”
When asked what motivates him each day, he said, “Motivation is the core element in setting and attaining goals. I set goals that are almost of the realm of reasonable possibility. Almost being the key word. My original goal in the industry was to make a film. That goal quickly changes to 10 film. Then 20. Now, my goal is 50 films.”
He listed Steven Spielberg, Ridley Scott, Harrison Fold, Martin Scorsese and Michael Bay as his dream collaboration choices in the entertainment industry. “Those guys have change the movie industry together in their own positive ways,” he said.
For aspiring actors, he said, “I’ve always been an advocate for others that want to break into the movie business. That’s exactly what you have to do. You have to break in. There’s a million hurdles, curves and dead ends but all you have to do is keep your forward motion. Never stop. Be sure to work extra hours daily. Work harder than anyone around you and you will reach your goals.”
For his fans, he concluded, “I hope the fans like Cross Wars. We didn’t set out to make the Godfather or Iron Man. The film is more for young kids. We left out cursing and sexual content so that families can enjoy the film without having to censor certain scenes. It is action-packed, super hero fun and pretty girls. Have fun.”
