Actor Ian Kahn stars as George Washington in the acclaimed AMC series "TURN: Washington's Spies," which will return for its final season this month.
The series returns for its fourth season on June 17 at 9 p.m. on AMC. It is based on the book Washington's Spies: The Story of America's First Spy Ring by Alexander Rose.
Before he landed the role of America's first president in the period drama TURN: Washington's Spies, Kahn had appeared in many high-profile TV series such as Sex and the City, Law & Order, Castle, The Unusuals and Shameless.
In April of 2016, Kahn wrote an interesting article for the Huffington Post, where he described what his character, George Washington, would think about today's state of affairs.
Kahn is internationally recognized for his portrayals of Danny Brecher in Dawson's Creek and Marty Decker in Bull respectively. This past season, he also had recurring roles on Showtime's Homeland and Billions. As a stage actor, Kahn has an elaborate list of theater credits. He is a graduate of the Ethical Culture Fieldston School in Riverdale, New York, where he earned his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from Skidmore College. He lives in New York City with his wife and two children.
