Eileen Davidson to return to ‘The Young and The Restless’ on CBS

Davidson is expected to make her return to Genoa City on the No. 1 daytime drama The Young and The Restless on CBS at the end of the month for two episodes. She will be reprising her role as Ashley Abbott for a brief story arc.

She had announced her exit from her show back in October of 2018. She had played Ashley Abbott on and off for 36 years.

In May of 2018, Davidson took home the Daytime Emmy award for “Outstanding Lead Actress in a Daytime Drama Series.”

In January of 2019, it was announced that Davidson earned a Daytime Emmy pre-nomination for the same category that she won last year. Davidson is one of 10 actresses vying for the five spots for a Daytime Emmy nomination (the final nominees will be announced on Wednesday, March 20).

Davidson’s fellow co-stars Sharon Case and Amelia Heinle also earned Daytime Emmy pre-nominations for “Outstanding Lead Actress” for their acting work The Young and the Restless.
