Regarding his role on The Affair as Anton, Meyer said, “Anton is a very smart young man trying to figure life out. He has a chip on his shoulder, due to his mom and the treatment he gets from his parents. He ends up finding solitude and finding his way with the help of Noah Solloway.”
On working on The Affair, Meyer said, “Unfortunately, I did not have any scenes with Ruth, but she is a lovely person. Dominic on the other hand, is just a stand-up guy. Working with him has definitely helped me get better at my craft. He is one of my favorite people have ever worked with.”
Meyer revealed that his plans for the future include “More good art.” “Being a part of and creating it. Music as well. Getting back in the studio soon. Stay tuned for that,” he hinted.
For aspiring actors, Meyer’s advice is as follows: “Persistence and a genuine love for your craft will take you far. Never stop trying to get better. Mentally, physically and spiritually. The most work happens on yourself when you’re not working.”
Meyer listed Tom Hardy, Denzel Washington and Kofi Siriboe as his dream acting partners.
Digital transformation of entertainment business
On the impact of technology on the acting and entertainment business, Meyer said, “Technology has changed it massively. Everything is upgraded. From the visuals to the way dialogue is written. Some of it is for the better, but some of it has become kind of wack.”
On his use of technology in his daily routine as an actor, Meyer said, “My laptop and I are besties. Even today, I’ll be reading scripts all day on my little friend. It’s just easy access.”
For his fans, Meyer concluded about The Affair, “Thank you for watching, embracing and accepting Anton. Hopefully, his journey inspires you and you learn from him.” “Also, there is a plot twist,” he foreshadowed.
