8-year-old female magician Issy Simpson chatted with Digital Journal about her experience on the reality competition "Britain's Got Talent."
On the commercial success of her Britain's Got Talent audition, Simpson said, "I was a little bit nervous, but very, very excited."
Thus far, Simpson's audition video is the most viewed video this season, with over 6.5 million views on YouTube and social media.
She listed her magician grandfather, Russ, as her greatest influence in the world of magic. "I also liked watching the David Copperfield videos," she said.
Speaking of Copperfield, Simpson attempted her own version of the classic Statue of Liberty disappearance trick, which may be seen in the video below.
The young magician garnered praise from Britain's Got Talent judge Simon Cowell for her magic routine being reminiscent of a real-life Harry Potter film. "While I do like Hermione, Ginny Weasley is my favorite character," she said.
Her love for reading and magic is infectious, and she revealed that when she groups up, she hopes to be both an author and a magician.
Most impressive about her exposure on the show is that Simpson is already becoming a figure in the public eye in England. "I've taken 10 selfies already," she said.
Issy Simpson's magic audition got a glowing review from Digital Journal.
