This marks their second annual GALA, and it raises awareness and funds for families that are affected by autism.
SASI was co-founded by executive director Priscilla Arena and Stephanie Mendelson. This nonprofit organization offers support, resources, programs and events to families that are affected by autism throughout Long Island.
Priscilla Arena is also a host of her radio show “A Woman’s View,” on 103.9 FM Long Island News Radio.
Chart-topping dance-pop artist Shannon will serve as one of this year’s live performers. She is known for her smash single “Let The Music Play.”
Last year’s SASI event at The Inn at East Wind in Wading River on Long Island was well-received. It features such distinguished guests as radio host Dan Romano, Richard Kern, WWE star Mick Foley, boxer Joe Smith Jr., freestyle artists TKA, musician Dan Nelson (former lead singer of Anthrax), comedians Paul Bond and Rich Walker, actor Angel Salazar from Scarface, Suffolk County legislator Sarah S. Anker, as well as radio/TV personality and intuitive Janet Russell.
