article imageCole Swindell earns first gold record with 'Chillin It'

By Markos Papadatos     Jan 3, 2014 in Entertainment
To say that country singer Cole Swindell has had a good year is quite an understatement. His self-titled debut album will be out on February 18 via Warner Music Nashville.
It features his lead single "Chillin It," which sits at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot Country Airplay charts this week, and it has been certified gold.
Ever gracious, Swindell showcased his gratitude for this major achievement via a post on his Facebook page. "Thank you country radio, fans, and to everyone who bought 'Chillin It.' I never dreamed this time last year that I'd come home this Christmas with a record deal, a Top 10 single and my first gold record! Santa can just skip my house! Love y'all," he posted.
A native of Georgia, Swindell will be playing with country mega-star Luke Bryan as part of his "That's My Kind of Night" tour at Madison Square Garden in New York City on January 25, and he will be warming up the stage for him, along with fellow country singer Lee Brice.
