Excerpts from Bruce Springsteen's forthcoming release 'High Hopes' will be previewed in a forthcoming episode of 'The Good Wife,' announced CBS on Friday.
Audiences of the primetime legal drama starring Julianna Margulies will be able to hear three selections from the release in a Jan. 12 episode airing at 9 p.m. (ET/PT), while the CBS website will exclusively feature the album until its official release two days later.
"We love using music in The Good Wife, and we always have the music inform the action and the cutting," said the show's creators Robert King and Michelle King about the endeavor, marking the first time the television network has ever been involved in hosting an album premiere. "So when the Bruce Springsteen songs became available, we couldn't believe our luck. We wished we could use the whole album."
"This is music I always felt needed to be released," added Springsteen in a media communique. "I felt they all deserved a home and a hearing."
At this writing, nearly 60,000 visitors have pre-ordered High Hopes on the site, where visitors can here the seven-song collection in its entirety.
