The internet has changed business as the public no longer needs a phone book to find what they need. Online stores are making billions world wide and business owners must change the way they think to succeed.
Social media has also changed since arriving on the scene. It's no longer just for friends as companies of every size now use the likes of Facebook to connect with their customers/clients and create a bond, but just a boring page won't help, you must create a buzz with your audience and create something a bit different from your competition.
There are several tips to improve your presence and make your page look great. These are just a few ways to stay current and fashionable, but also get your point across, all in an effort to make more profit, something every business owner wants each year.
First and possibly the easiest tip is get a short, precise username and URL. You will need 25 likes on your page, but a little networking and that should be no problem to accomplish. Having something simple and easy to remember will stick with your audience and with the tools provided on the site, registering a new name after achieving your likes is simple, even for those who aren't computer savvy.
Next is always use SEO when promoting your page and your product. Search engines and Facebook use algorithms to help users find what they want. Using keywords and quality content on your page will draw more traffic and make you more 'friends'.
Once established, keep in constant contact with your page. Don't go weeks without posts as you risk losing your audience to competitors. Even simple posts such as 'hello' make people feel good and wanted.
Photos are a great way to improve your site and while most should be relevant to your business, marketing isn't always about you. Add something humorous or just some beautiful scenery to make your page welcoming and memorable. Marketing is about drawing a crowd in and keeping them interested and a few simple changes could make a world of difference.
