To deliver faster and more effective telecommunication services, companies needs to upgrade their systems. Microsoft has been working with companies in the engineering sector to develop improved global services.
Microsoft’s core focus in recent years has been with providing intelligence services to companies to help with the digital transformation of their internal and external communications.
Automated sales searches
One company that has made use of Microsoft’s services is Park Place Technologies Inc. The company operates a datacenter for third-party maintenance and engineering support. In order to expand its services, the company enlisted assistance from Microsoft.
The services that Park Place has taken up include Microsoft enterprise cloud services. These services include Dynamics 365 and Office 365. In addition the engineering service supplier uses LinkedIn Sales Navigator, to assist with its sales and service operations.

In terms of how these new systems will assist the company in practice, Park Place will issue its salesforce with the Microsoft Relationship Sales solution. This fuses together Microsoft’s Dynamics 365 for Sales with the LinkedIn Sales Navigator. These tools enable companies to examine relationships between people, integrating all this information into a single platform.
Commenting on the work with Microsoft, the CEO for Park Place Technologies Chris Adams said: “Microsoft is uniquely positioned with integrated offerings across the whole cloud stack.”
He added: “We're confident this trusted, global platform will further enhance productivity for our employees and provide more value to our customers."
Smart sales support
In a different venture, the company Amdocs, a software and services provider to communications companies, has launched Smartbot. This is an artificial intelligence bot that enables companies to provide sales support.
Amdocs Smartbot was developed with Microsoft Cognitive Services utilizing the Microsoft Language Understanding Intelligent Service and Text Analytics API. The aim is to create a digital presence that enables companies to deliver a more personalized service focused on self-service interactions.
