Two digitally based used car dealerships have come together with a new platform aimed at further disrupting the used car market. The partnership is between AutomotiveLeads and CarSwap.
The partnership is in the form of a digital marketing collaboration, with the aim of making used car dealers more profitable and with offering a new service to consumers. The two companies have slightly different remits, but coming together they provide an expanded service.
AutomotiveLeads is a young digital marketing company which provides car dealers with a library of 350 syndicated and behaviorally targeted classified websites. These aim to drive first generation leads and volume traffic directly to car dealerships websites. On the other hand, CarSwap is a mobile platform for vehicle trading (self-styled Tinder for cars’). The website contains tens of thousands of consumer led vehicle listings worldwide. Part of the CarSwap service includes providing peer-to-dealer leads and peer-to-peer vehicle trading. In addition the CarSwap app provides a sophisticated matching mechanism which enables consumers to trade in their vehicle and to match their car with another of similar value. This makes switching cars straightforward.

This is in the form of a unified platform, available for the U.S. market. The overall aim is to aid buyers and sellers to connect seamlessly. The innovative platform allows users to gain direct access to dealers and to directly negotiate about a vehicle. While between AutomotiveLeads and CarSwap facilitate this, they acts is hidden ‘middle men.’ The experience for the consumer is as direct peer-to-peer activity.
The appeal to dealers, from the business-to-business aspect, is that dealers can obtain leads in real-time once a seller swipes on their vehicle listing on the platform. Many independent car dealers are running their business using a smartphone. The new platform allows a dealer to fully manage sales and productivity.
Commenting on the collaboration, Alex Campbell of CarSwap stated: “We’re pleased to collaborate with industry leading platforms like AutomotiveLeads to offer innovative solutions to their dealer network. This collaboration will allow us to jointly provide car dealerships the competitive edge needed in today’s automotive industry.”
The websites leading to the new service include usedcarsnearme.com, localusedcardealers.com and usedcarsforsale.com. The drawing together of such sites and the services of AutomotiveLeads and CarSwap sets the foundations for a one stop shop for dealers and car buyers via mobile applications.
