Digital disruption increasing in the used car sector

The partnership is in the form of a digital marketing collaboration, with the aim of making used car dealers more profitable and with offering a new service to consumers. The two companies have slightly different remits, but coming together they provide an expanded service.

AutomotiveLeads is a young digital marketing company which provides car dealers with a library of 350 syndicated and behaviorally targeted classified websites. These aim to drive first generation leads and volume traffic directly to car dealerships websites. On the other hand, CarSwap is a mobile platform for vehicle trading (self-styled Tinder for cars’). The website contains tens of thousands of consumer led vehicle listings worldwide. Part of the CarSwap service includes providing peer-to-dealer leads and peer-to-peer vehicle trading. In addition the CarSwap app provides a sophisticated matching mechanism which enables consumers to trade in their vehicle and to match their car with another of similar value. This makes switching cars straightforward.

Many independent car dealers are running their business using a smartphone. The new platform allows a dealer to fully manage sales and productivity.

Commenting on the collaboration, Alex Campbell of CarSwap stated: “We’re pleased to collaborate with industry leading platforms like AutomotiveLeads to offer innovative solutions to their dealer network. This collaboration will allow us to jointly provide car dealerships the competitive edge needed in today’s automotive industry.”
