Coin Capital Investment Management Inc. (Coincapital) has received the honor of opening the Toronto Stock Exchange. Market Open Ceremonies at Toronto Stock Exchange provide an opportunity for selected companies to generate exposure. The market opens are broadcast live on the Business News Network morning show, and streamed live on YouTube, TSX.com and TMX.com.
Coin Capital Investment Management is the investment and portfolio management division of the digital asset trading platform Coinsquare. Coinsquare is a Canadian secure digital asset trading platform for trading Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other digital currencies. As Digital Journal reported in August 2018, Coinsquare has also launched into Europe.
Coincapital was selected to ring the the opening bell of the Toronto Stock Exchange as it is Canada’s newest exchange-traded fund provider. This follows on from Coincapital’s earlier exchange-traded funds: Coincapital STOXX Blockchain Patents Innovation Index Fund (“LDGR”) and the Coincapital STOXX B.R.AI.N. Index Fund (“THNK”). The three cryptocurrency investment vehicles offer Canadian investors access to emerging technologies via several of the world’s leading companies. Coincapital will focus on investment products focused on emerging technologies including blockchain, artificial intelligence, and cryptocurrencies.
Commenting on the launch of Coincapital, the company’s CEO Lewis Bateman said: “Canadians know technologies like AI and the blockchain are going to change the way we live and work, but it can be difficult to access high quality investments in these sectors without deep domain expertise.”
