Suggestion and questions regarding uploaded images and article intro

One suggestion and two things I would like to ask:
Suggestion: On DJ's front page, top images are featured. Given that Digital Journalist's get paid by number of views/"like"s on article, and many of us make an effort to go out and take pictures, is it possible to have a link on the featured images that takes readers directly to the article? (If one is already there and I missed it, I apologize!)
Q1: If a period is in the Intro section of an article, everything after that period gets cut off on front page. Can that be changed to allow for appropriate periods?
Q2: If I upload a picture that I have gotten specific permission from the photographer to use soley for a particular article, can others use that image if I've listed it as All Rights Reserved? And, if a Digital Journalist takes a picture but does not want it to be used by others, is that possible? What prevents others from using it, or is it policy that once an image has been uploaded on DJ then all Digital Journalists are free to use it?
