My experience with the medical industry shows that we are in desperate need of some type of control of this lucrative, self serving industry and to allow everyone the right to have medical care--not just those that have the means to buy health insurance--it is the humane thing to do.
I have retired to Mexico, since my Social Security does not afford me to live in the U.S. I have been overwhelmed by the generosity of the Mexican government toward its retires which includes me, an American citizen. I receive free medical coverage, and that means everything: doctors, hospital, and medication. I have had two major surgeries here at no cost to me.
Everyone in Mexico is covered medically. What I don't understand is how a third world country can provide this type of coverage, while the riches nation in the world says it will bankrupt the country. There is a grain of truth in that statement since we have one of the most expensive, profit bloated system in the world that rates low in the quality of care.
The money grabbing, self serving medical industry has brought this reform on itself. Its main concern is not to provide quality service, but to line its pockets at the expense of the American people.
