Burn After Reading trailer, starring Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Frances McDormand

Talk about star wattage: a new film directed by the Coen Brothers features Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Frances McDormand, John Malkovich, and Tilda Swinton. I got a good feeling about this one.

Set to release in Sept. 12, Burn After Reading is classic Coen Bros.: as IMDB explains, "a disk containing the memoirs of a CIA agent ends up in the hands of two unscrupulous gym employees who attempt to sell it."

Here's the trailer, and it really got me jonesing to see this flick. Something about Malkovich and Pitt in the same flick has got me thinking this could be a smash hit, both box-office wise and critically.

With my “better half” in one arm and large buttered popcorn in the other, I finally caught up with this latest Cohen Brother effort.
And the verdict…total silliness, no redeeming characters and a whack job of a story line that pokes fun at America’s greed, vanity and ignorance.
For me the Cohen Brothers hit a home run with Burn After Reading; just don’t expect another “No Country for Old Men.”
The Cohen Rebels are back to their old tricks.
As a CIA honcho stated to a colleague in the closing moments of the film, “get back to me when it all makes sense”.
It may take awhile to sort it all out.
