To recap, the Group of 20 Summit has been planned to take place next summer in Huntsville, Ontario, commonly known as "cottage country." It's around two hours north of Toronto.
But now the feds believe that area might be overwhelmed by visitors, delegates and protesters, too much to handle for that small sleepy city. The Harper government is looking to move the G20 Summit to the much-bigger Toronto.
But, at the same time, "the Conservatives plan to keep the related but separate Group of Eight economic gathering in Muskoka's Huntsville, Ont.," according to the Globe & Mail.
Organizers say any talk about moving the G20 is speculation at this moment. But even the Ontario Premier admitted bringing that massive political event would provide logistically troublesome for Toronto.
