Gardiner Cup in Edinburgh: The news from today is that the Toronto Marlies beat Edinburgh Captials (my team) 6-1. I wasn't there but the feedback is that the Capitals kept up well with the Marlies.
The Hamilton Bulldogs defeated the Belfast Giants 7-0.
This sets up a 3rd and 4th place play-off between the Capitals and the Giants and the Marlies and the Bulldogs will battle it out tomorrow evening to win the inaugural Gardiner Cup, meaning that for the second time since Thursday I'll get to the see the Marlies and the Bulldogs play each other. Hopefully with a bit more bite this time. :-)
