The world's best slip-and-slide, ever

Posted Sep 4, 2009 by  Chris Hogg in Entertainment 5 comments
There is only one thing more fun to watch than a slip-and-slide so big the "slider" has to wear a helmet. What is that, you ask? It's a slip and slide so big, it also includes a ramp that sends the slider airborne for a hundred feet.
Update: This video is a viral ad made by Microsoft to promote Office 2007. How this relates to Office 2007, I don't know.
Regardless of its authenticity, it's certain to make you smile and hope that somewhere in the world there is someone crazy enough to try this and film it without getting hurt.
Video below...

No way! I wonder how many bumps and bruises they got to get the landing right!

If you look closely at the video you can see at 0:12 into the video his arms are extended straight out from his sides, at 0:13 you can see him bring his arms straight down toward his feet in the direction that he is flying. If it is a fake it is a damned good one! Give me a nice pond or lake to land in and I would jump at the chance. That little kiddie pool.... not so much. =)

If it's real, I predict a fatality unless a much larger receiving pool is in place. Why? Consider the different trajectories of 120/320 pounds

Just learned this video is a viral ad made by Microsoft (good work guys) to promote Office 2007. If you follow the link at the end of the video you'll see a bunch of Microsoft promotional stuff.
I've been told via Facebook it was to put together as follows: First part guy is going down the slide - a stuntman - held by a rope. Second part where the guy is flying in the air is actually just computer-generated and third part is another stuntman jumping off a piece of wood into the pool.
    Very well done.
