Is there anyone out there who knows about tech stuff please? I posted
a blog yesterday with a link to a video in it. The link works perfectly well for readers and it did for me too once I'd done what it said and downloaded Adobe 10.2 to allow me to watch it.
The problem was that although I could watch the video, from that moment on the screen froze at different times when I tried to change pages on the site or go to other sites. I rebooted the Internet and also tried rebooting the computer, but nothing changed. Completely random, it happened after just one page change or it would let me move around for several minutes before freezing.
I use the latest version of Firefox.
I uninstalled a previous version of Adobe, Adobe 9, thinking there may have been a conflict between the two, but nothing changed.
So I uninstalled the 10.2 version I had just downloaded.
Things worked perfectly after that, but I couldn't watch the video, and had no Adobe for other things either, so I downloaded 10.2 again in case it had glitched whilst downloading the first time. Pages began freezing again, so I uninstalled it again.
So the net works fine but I don't have Adobe. No YouTube vids either! There is a pop-up bar across the top of the page just under the tabs that reads "Additional plug-ins are required to read all the media on this page."
I tried switching to Explorer, but that freezes up from the get-go.
Does anyone have any idea what the problem may be and/or how to resolve it?
Thanks in advance, Michael.
