As it is Caribana weekend, I thought I would share some of my Jamaica trip pics...
We stayed at the Riu in Negril in June and while the weather wasn't 100% co-operative we had a great stay. We didn't venture off the resort though, mainly because for two people things can get really pricey and also because most of the excursions didn't interest us. We were simply there to relax, enjoy the sun, the pool and beaches and of course to eat good food (the food was amazing!!!!).
While we did notice a few things that could put a damper on a trip if you let it (example: the sea water smells like rotten eggs, but you don't really notice it anymore after a day or two), but you just have to remember that nothing is perfect and if you let things get to you, you can ruin parts of your trip.
We also loved the people there. Everyone is so friendly and it was really nice to experience. Jamaica is worth the slightly higher price tag than most Caribbean vacations, especially if you enjoy the cannabis.
