Quick, name a movie about Charles Darwin. Exactly, there really hasn't been a proper biopic of the influential scientist/author. But that's about to change on Sept. 25, when Creation opens in theatres.
Set in the mid-19th century, Creation follows Darwin (Paul Bettany) as he begins to write The Origin of Species, which refutes creationism. His relationship with his wife (Jennifer Connelly) begins to strain once she realizes the impact his book may have on the entire world.
Below is the trailer. It's a film gaining lots of hype, announced as the opening Special Presentation film at the Toronto International Film Festival.
An intriguing storyline: Darwin and his wife are played by real-life couple, Bettany and Connelly. Will we see on-screen sparks? Let us know what you think in the comments section.
