Minister Ablonczy Hung Out to Dry by Harper

The Harper Cons have stripped Diane Ablonczy, the Minister of Small Business and Tourism, of responsibility to administer a $100m stimulus program known as the Marquee Tourism Events Program. Why? Because she funded a gay pride event in Toronto to the tune of $400K. That "embarrassed" the Harper government according to media reports so says a Conservative backbender in a prolife website. Support for gay pride events that are tourism generators are not Marquee events in the small and narrow minds of the Harper Conservative government. One more example that Harper has to pander to his base and in doing so undermines the core value of inclusiveness that is Canada. We need an election to clean house in terms of the economy, the environment and our society and we need it sooner than later.
