An Hour in the Life of a Cat
Cats are such interesting animals, and they are very much like us in some ways. They eat, sleep, play, fight, just like we do. Here's a look at how they do it. These pictures were taken at a friend's house last weekend. I was alone, looking after the house, and these guys made sure I was never bored!
First, two cats, brother and sister, are horsing around. Cool.

Then along comes the other brother and it's now a free-for-all.

One of them gets bored, moves off, looks to see what mischief he can get up to next, and decides to launch a surprise attack on Mom, who had been lying peacefully in the sun.

She lets him think he has the upper hand...

But that pesky kitten's illusions were soon shattered when he bit too hard and found himself in a very embarrassing situation immediately after. Yip, Mom is not pleased.

Moreover, he receives a severe telling off, and he doesn't look so fierce all of a sudden.

Meanwhile, his brother had decided to do the real thing; hunt. He brought back this field mouse to show us, growling menacingly whenever one of the others approached 'his' mouse.

Then everyone gets a little tired. And what do kittens do when they stop fooling around? They eat.

And then, of course, its onto their fave chair to curl up and sleep like the babies they are....until the next round of cat madness.

They were such fun to take too Chris. Have you ever noticed how photogenic almost all cats are? It's pretty difficult to mess up a pic of a cat, unless it's moving quick, of course.

Why do you guys have such massive cats over there?
I prefer them lean and almost hungry. That's when they have to hunt a little and that's when their bodies are in tip-top efficient-killing-machine shape.

He was a lean killing machine. He was just a giant of a cat. His mother must of bred with lynx.

I love those pictures. We've not long rescued a white cat, a picture of it is in my images and she's full of it when she's not sleeping.

I used to have kitties... but hubby is severely allergic, so I don't now. Now we have fish, that get sick alot, have babies too often, and are not at all cuddly. anybody want some guppies or mollies? The fry will be ready in two months.

Yes, but you ought to see her when she's awake. Her latest trick is to kick her tub of cat treats over so they land upside and she can help herself. If she's not doing that she's shredding up bits of paper, usually the shopping list. And underneath her in the basket is six toy mice which she carefully laid there and even better, she found a real mouse the other day. That was interesting....

Animals give us 'unconditional love' ... these pictures are true testament to that. they are lovely, playful and aware. We have had a great day today with our 'rescue' puppy, just 18 months old, as far as we are concerned she is our 'daughter' in a sense...daft, hungry and strangely enough, half intelligent...
