DigitalJournal.com Introduces ‘News Reporting 101’ Liveblog July 15, 12 pm ET
In an effort to make the journalism process more interactive, and to give you the chance to ask questions about news reporting, we're happy to announce a "News Reporting 101" liveblog. Think of it as an online class where you get instant and immediate answers to your questions, free of charge.
It will take place on DigitalJournal.com on Wednesday July 15, at 12pm ET.
DigitalJournal.com editors will be available to answer questions on the main topic of the discussion: crime reporting. Always a thorny issue, reporting on crime requires vigilant journalism and some legal knowledge.
Ever wanted to know how to write articles on trials? Or how to properly publish profiles of alleged criminals? Unsure if your article contains libelous material?
Editors will answer questions and offer advice, citing examples of past work on DigitalJournal.com.
You can also hear from others who are jumping into the arena of citizen reporting, and we'll also be inviting journalists from all over the world to participate in the discussion.
On July 15 at 12 pm ET, go to DigitalJournal.com and click on the article announcing the News Reporting 101 liveblog.
After the event, the liveblog transcript will be viewable to anyone who visits the article.
We look forward to hearing from your input and questions. See you then!
